Young Buck & The Future - Back For the Streets

If you are like me, you knew deep down that Buck wasn't going to last very long with G-Unit. But he was the most lyrical member by far. So now that he is out on his own, I really want to see what he can do.

Young Buck has been dropping some great mixtapes lately. Even though this is being billed as "The Street Album" it's still a pretty good mixtape.

All the production is done by The Future. I've never heard of the guy but his beats are pretty good. I like the stripped down sound alot. The only problem I have with it is that the beats start to sound a bit too similar for my taste. I would have liked a little more variety. "Can't Catch Me" is a standout. great beat and Buck really kills it.

"Where the Hoes At" is a great street track that should be in every hip hop fan's ipod. "Git It Back" is the shortest track but one of the best on the mixtape.

The rest is your standard "I gots Dope and Guns" type of tracks, but Buck Pulls it off. This is definitely a mixtape to buy and add to your collection.
